“You said we all want there to be more than this! Well, there's always more than this. There's always something you don't know.”
Not knowing what happens after death is a thought that haunts me constantly and I appreciate any book that manages to suppress that anxiety, which is exactly what happened when I read More Than This. Although it obviously does not answer the question of "is there something more?" because this is a work of fiction, it left me with a certain curiosity about the afterlife that I never imagined I could feel.
Whenever I made time to pick up this book, I flew through the pages until someone had to drag me back to reality. Patrick Ness definitely knows how to keep readers on their toes, almost dreading to turn the page because something terrible is bound to happen on the next one.
I went into this book expecting something that would blow my mind, but I got much more.
